So although I enjoy leisure reading all year long, summer is especially known to be the season to grab a book and relax. In honor of the kickoff of summer tomorrow (Memorial Day) here are two books I think are worth perusing over this summer.
- Chasing Harry Winston....its by the same author of The Devil Wears Prada, Lauren Weisberger. Its about three best friends who drastically change their lives in a short period of time. A very light and fun read. If you enjoy this also checkout the Something Borrowed, Something Blue, Baby Proof trilogy to be entertained through the warm days to come.
- The Art of Racing in the Rain...by Garth Stein. A story told from a family
dog's philosophical point of view. Sounds like a heartfelt novel from an unlikely viewpoint.
If these books don't quite cut it for you, I also recommend picking up any book that was recently made into a movie because the books are usually better and of course always...Enjoy! And feel free to give your pick for summer reading picks as well!
