In an exclusive engagement director Marco Ferreri's Dillinger is Dead is playing in NYC. Check it out if you can...the film was originally released in 1969 and developed a controversial buzz about Ferreri's sense of satire. The themes in his movies are said to be very taboo and this movie is right up there with the rest. It follows a man named Glauco who looking to escape his middle class and mondane life finds release and freedom when he finds a revolver wrapped in newspaper announcing that notorious bank robber John Dillinger has died. The movie is loaded with social commentary that is witty and on point, all to a great 60s pop soundtrack.
