True Crime: An American Anthology sounds riveting and well written. The book explores our country's wonderfully deep, extensive history of crime, criminals, and justice. For details checkout EW's review: http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20228372,00.html

If you're shopping around for a new coffee table accessory, I recommend this entertaining book: Bands on the Road:The Tour Sketchbook. The compilation includes sketches from Coldplay, The Hives, The Raconteurs, and many more. Check out this Entertainment Weekly review for samples of the sketches:
The Brothers Bloom one of the highlights from the Toronto International Film Festival is expected to hit theaters early 2009. Check out the trailer about this delightful action comedy. It reminds me Oceans 11esque with a smaller yet still quite appealing cast.
A funny friend of mine with a unique sense of interpretational skills explains to all us commoners what Lil Wayne is really trying to say with his song A Milli.
I really recommend checking it out, otherwise you might be left in the dark and everyone will laugh at your ignorance of lyrical translation. Lucky for you and me its here in plain English: http://www.takeoverthegame.com/
Simply go to the website, and click the sounds, and then "A Milli for the whole family to understand."
Starting Oct. 14th The Decemberists will be releasing a series of multitrack downloads. What does this exactly mean? Well instead of a cd, you will be to download Vol I (Oct 14th) Vol II (Nov 4th) and Vol III (Dec 2nd). Check em out....I know I will!
Happy Go Lucky is a cute little movie that will make you happy about life. It has already been released in Europe, and will be coming stateside Oct. 10th on limited release.
Lil Wayne was the big name this year as he was nominated for 12 BET Hip Hop Awards, with Kanye West in second with 7 nominations, and Jay-Z with 6. Check out the Awards Oct. 23rd to see who is the big winner of the night and best hip hop artist overall!
Usually I agree with People's Magazine Best Dressed Woman but this year I am not so sure, although it is not upto me to decide check out the list and say what you think:
But watch out as Lakeview Terrace, The Duchess (limited), Ghost Town and My Best Friend's Girl all open this weekend and will probably replace 4 of the films on this list this weekend!
So although I won't be sitting down to watch these two FOX shows this fall many others are as J.J. Abrams' new Show Fringe keeps soaring in the ratings while the ever popular House isnt as popular but still a good show.
So if the CW isn't your cup of tea on Tuesdays check out:
The Fall TV Season this year is going to heat up as some of my favorite (and all around popular) shows are going to be having their season premieres this fall...but for me my fall tv schedule has already started with some guilty pleasures, so if you haven't already think about checking out these shows for some quality entertainment....well maybe not quality but at least its not reality tv!
Gossip Girl: Awesome fashion, easy to catch up on, considering I havent seen the first season and I pretty much am clued in to everything already! Think Cruel Intentions in a series form.
90210: Not as fabulous as the original in my opinion, but the drama reawakens what I felt when I watched the first season of THE O.C. and since I have completely deserted the non reality that is The Hills, I have filled my need for West Coast scenes with this promising guilty pleasure series.
Privileged: You can't help but cheer for the lead girl to succeed and laugh at the silly spoiled twins. This show rounds out my geography of the young and filthy rich by being in Miami
ok so maybe thats all the cw...and all the shows have a shallow base, but the outfits are awesome and i get to experience NYC, LA, and Paim Beach, so sue me...I did say they were guilty pleasures.....

Congrats to all the winners...particularly the big winner of the night Britney Spears who not only took home her first moon man ever but three...for best Pop Video, Female Video, and Video of the Year!
Last night Entourage came back in its full glory finding Vincent Chase vacationing post Medellin flop with Turtle in Mexico. The scenes, the music, all awesome...meanwhile everyone else is back in LA trying to get his career back in order. I don't want to spoil the episode for anyone who Tivo'd it but it makes me excited for the rest of the season. Following the episode the debut of HBO's new show True Blood came on. Needless to say the opening scene did little to keep me watching and soon I found myself drifting back over to the VMAs...did anyone watch and love it? I'm still willing to give it a chance if it isn't as silly as it appeared in the opening.
I became a big fan of Flight of the Conchords last year on HBO so I was very sad to find out that this season will be the shows last. Apparently,Bret and Jemaine, the dynamic duo that are the band on the show have not been able to keep up with making up new songs all the time and the second season was a struggle for them to make. So sad, but I guess I would rather have two good seasons than alot of bad ones.
